Holly Hunt




Holly Hunt is the CEO of Holly Hunt Ltd. showrooms for residential/commercial furniture, fabric, leather, lighting, and accessories.  Ms. Hunt has 6 exclusive Holly Hunt Showrooms across the United States and is represented in 12 independent showrooms in other US cities.  She has proven herself as one of the strongest forces directing design over the last 25 years.
Ms. Hunt is also a graduate of Texas Tech University.  She has been a major supporter of our interior design program over the last 10 years; sponsoring internships at her headquarters in Chicago and in her showrooms.  In addition Ms. Hunt has graciously given networking receptions at her showrooms in Chicago and New York for the ID 3325 Interior Tour Classes.
Holly Hunt was honored by the College of Human Sciences with the 2012 Distinguished Leadership Award.

Nurture Collegiate Healthcare Design Competition


Congratulations to Diana Sabouni, Rehab Aburas, Duy Pham, Haitham El-Hammali, Islam Obeidat, and Debajyoti Pati for being selected as winners of the 2012 Nurture Collegiate Healthcare Design Competition!
As a result of their success, the Texas Tech team will receive an awards package which includes:
  • Complimentary registrations to the 2012 HEALTHCARE DESIGN Conference, November 3-6 in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Financial assistance to facilitate conference travel and accommodation costs.
  • A private reception at the conference with top industry experts.
  • A feature story in the January 2012 issue of HealthCare Design Magazine.

Texas Tech University College of Human Sciences Apparel Design & Manufacturing Faculty, Students, and Alumni had a fashion exhibition at the Loiuse Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts at 511 Avenue K, for the First Friday Art Trail, Friday, September 7th,  from 6-9pm.  The exhibit was on display through September 29th, 2012.

The exhibit showcased wearable art pieces from  The "Wear Your Chair" exhibition mentored by Rachel Anderson,Instructor & Exhibitor, Apparel Design & Manufacturing, Dr. Kristi Gaines, Assistant Professor, Interior Design, Exhibitor and The " Green Project" mentored by Dr. Su Shin, Associate Professor, Apparel Design & Manufacturing.
